Wednesday was a case of Good News-Bad News for Wilton. The Good News: a predicted spring storm that was expected to bring blizzard conditions never materialized here in Fairfield County. The Bad News: the tail end of the storm did carry along a wicked tail snap in the form of high winds throughout the day yesterday–strong enough to bring down trees, wires and knock power out to almost 150 CL&P customers midday.

Police sent an email notification close to 11 p.m. announcing that all Wilton roads had reopened.
