UPDATE:  Thursday, Oct. 17, 6:45 A.M.–The number of Eversource customers without power in Wilton continues to rise–it’s now at 472. It doesn’t help that the National Weather Service has issued a “High Wind Warning,” in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday evening. Winds may reach 20-30 mph with gusts up to 65 mph. They forecast winds strong enough to bring down more trees and power lines, potentially causing more outages.

Wilton Police have updated the list of road closures:

Route 33/Ridgefield Rd. between Belden Hill Rd. and Middlebrook Farm Rd.

Sturges Ridge Rd. near # 35

Stirrup Ln. near #18

Indian Hill Rd. near Pin Oak Ln.

Wilridge Rd. near #64

Borglum Rd. near #36

Stirrup Ln. near #18

Indian Hill Rd. near Pin Oak Ln.

Mountain Rd. near Scribner Hill Rd.

Rocky Brook Rd. near #16

In addition, as of 9:45 p.m. there are 167 Eversource customers in Wilton without power.
