How much does money influence U.S. elections since the Supreme Court decision on Citizens United that allowed unlimited PAC and SuperPAC contributions? The Money Lobby, a documentary showing at the Wilton Library’s Reel Mondays series on Monday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m., will explore that question.
This film is the second in this season’s series of provocative documentary films presented jointly by the Wilton League of Women Voters and the Wilton Library.
The discussion that will follow the showing promises to be a lively one, as the film is indeed “provocative” not only for its content but for its source, Press TV, a state-funded subsidiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB). Come decide for yourself and join the discussion. Former Connecticut State Representative Peggy Reeves will introduce the film and moderate the discussion afterwards.
Registration for this program is requested but not required. You may register on the library website, www.wiltonlibrary.org or by calling 203.762.3950, ext. 213. There is no admission fee, although donations are always welcome.
