The Wilton Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing this evening on proposed regulation changes that would potentially allow 80 foot lights at the sports fields at Middlebrook School.
The meeting will be held at Cider Mill School, in anticipation of public attendance. Past meetings have brought larger-than-usual crowds with residents on both sides passionate about letting commissioners know their thoughts on the proposed plan to build an athletic turf field and erect tall lights at the school, in a residential zone.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m. at Cider Mill School. The agenda can be found here. The Wilton Bulletin has some great recent coverage of where things currently stand in this increasingly conflicted petition. Tempers flared at the last public meeting; two other boards–the Inland Wetlands Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals–are also involved in potentially restricting or denying related elements to the plan.
