Rolling Hills Country Club (RHCC), in Wilton recently launched an Employee Scholarship Fund. In a release announcing the program, it states that, “the RHCC community is fortunate to have a terrific group of employees who, in addition to their work at the club, are enrolled in educational programs ⎯ ranging from accounting to nursing to ESL ⎯ at local colleges and high schools. With the Scholarship Fund, the club encourages and supports its employees’ educational goals and aspirations.”

The Fund is supported through donations from club member, and are used to provide employees with scholarship awards toward their educational expenses, including tuition, books, and related fees.

The club recently awarded its first four scholarships to Megan Baylis, Karin (Carmen) Cacsire, Brian Crocker and Christian Flores.

Baylis is the pool director and has worked at Rolling Hills for the past seven summers. This fall she began a two year course of study for her Master’s Degree in special education at Southern Connecticut State University.

Cacsire is the restaurant captain and has worked at Rolling Hills since 2011. She is pursuing her dream of a career in health care by studying for a degree in nursing at Norwalk Community College.

Crocker is one of the club’s golf professionals. He has been at RHCC since 2010. Crocker is using his scholarship to enroll in the PGA/PGM management program. Attaining the PGA designation is an important stepping stone in a professional golfer’s career.  In addition to his work at Rolling Hills, Crocker is also the girls varsity golf coach at Fairfield Warde High School and is a part-time tax accountant.

Flores is a waiter at Rolling Hills and has worked at the club since 2012. He is studying management at Norwalk Community College and aspires to be in management at a country club or hotel.
