Trackside Teen Center is once again offering study skills workshops through S4 Study Skills, with programs tailored for both middle school and high school students.
According to a press release sent by Trackside, the workshop curriculum “is built on evidence-based study skills specifically designed for middle and high school students. The S4 workshops foster academic achievement by teaching students key study strategies that help them learn and achieve better academic success.
“Parents, students and teachers agree the S4 Study Skills Workshops are a great way to learn how to study off campus. It is clear that study skills offer the pathway to academic success in school, and we are pleased to host the S4 program here in Wilton so that all students may benefit,” says Mark Ketley, executive director of Trackside Teen Center.
The S4 program is “founded on educational research and evidence-based studies. Its highly interactive approach is designed to clearly demonstrate how to apply students’ own curriculum and course material to the taught methodologies and systems. The workshops are taught by experience teachers, and each class is limited to 15 students.”
Michelle Sagalyn, president of S4 said, “We are excited to inspire parents by giving them insights into how their students can learn. Implementing even a single resolution has been shown to boost students’ motivation, confidence and academic performance.”
The S4 programs are designed to bolster academic confidence, motivation and preparation as academic workload and expectations increase rise. Skills taught include: planning, organizing, executive functioning strategies, as well as quiz, test, and long-term project preparation strategies.
