Following feedback and response generated by an anonymous teacher letter, school officials are scheduling a series of parent discussions to answer questions parents may have about the ongoing roll-out of the coaching initiative in Wilton Public Schools as well as any other issues raised in the letter.

Superintendent Dr. Kevin Smith or assistant superintendent Dr. Chuck Smith will meet with parents at each of the four schools as well as at a fifth session open to the wider community.

The discussions have been set up in conjunction with the PTAs at each of the schools.

Miller-Driscoll Elementary:  The M-D PTA will be meeting Monday, Feb. 13 at 9:30 a.m. in conjunction with the Principal’s Coffee. While there won’t be a formal presentation, Dr. Kevin Smith will be in attendance and available to answer questions.

Cider Mill Elementary:  The session will be held as part of the Cider Mill PTA meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 9.15 a.m. in the school’s cafeteria.

Middlebrook Middle School:  Will be announced shortly, GMW will update as soon as it’s available.

Wilton High School:  The superintendent will meet with WHS parents on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. in the WHS Professional Library (within the school’s Library Learning Commons); this will be followed by the WHS PTSA meeting at 7:30 p.m.

District-wide Community Forum:  A discussion will be held at Wilton High School on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m..
