Wilton Police have a second of four suspects in custody in the Campus Jewelers larceny case.

On Oct. 18, 2017, the Wilton Police Department responded to Campus Jewelers at 5 River Rd. in Wilton to investigate a distraction style larceny.

At 2:30 p.m. that day four suspects entered Campus Jewelers, three white females and one white male. The three females then distracted the two salespersons while the male stole jewelry from behind the counter and put it in a brown paper shopping bag that he was carrying. The suspects then purchased an item with cash prior to all four suspects leaving the store with the stolen jewelry totaling over $21,000.

Erika Santa, age 32, of Jamaica, NY, was taken into custody by members of the NYPD and Nassau County Police Department near her home in New York. On Thursday, Feb. 22 she was turned over to Wilton Police detectives and returned to CT to face charges. She is due in court on Monday, March 5, after posting a $100,000 surety bond.

This arrest follows the arrest of the first suspect, 56-year-old Yolanda Santa, on Jan. 19; she was returned to Wilton on Jan. 31.

Two additional arrests are expected in this case.
