Three athletic booster groups of Wilton have collaborated to gift the town with a new public address sound system for Fujitani Field at the Wilton High School football stadium. The three groups—Wilton Football Boosters, Wilton Lacrosse Association, and Wilton Youth Field Hockey—made the offer through Wilton Parks and Recreation to pay for the purchase and installation of a new sound system.

The gift of the system was approved at last night’s (Monday, April 18) Board of Selectmen‘s meeting.

All costs would be borne by the three groups, according to first selectman Lynne Vanderslice, and volume would be set and controlled by Parks & Rec. In addition, Vanderslice noted that the volume for the new system would actually be set lower than what it is now.
