Sen. Richard Blumenthal (CT) has announced that he will attend the Wilton Democratic Town Committee breakfast at Trackside Teen Center this Saturday, April 2. He joins Dr. Gary L. Rose, a political science professor at Sacred Heart University, who will speak about the 2016 presidential race in a talk entitled, “Haywire: The Politics of the 2016 Presidential Contest.”
The breakfast takes place from 9-11 a.m.. Tickets are available prior to the event for $30 ($5 for those 18 or under) on the Wilton DTC website, or at the door the morning of the event for $40.
After an unprecedented five terms as CT’s Attorney General, Blumenthal was elected to the United States Senate in 2011. He is the ranking Democrat on the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, and also serves on the Senate Armed Services, Judiciary and Commerce committees.
