Wilton's big red chair got a lot of use as a photo backdrop.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. In honor of the holiday of love, the Town of Wilton and the Wilton Library Association are teaming up to help residents share what they love with the community, and answer the question, What or Who Do You Love in Wilton?

Town officials are encouraging residents of all ages to make a valentine heart and hang it on the Big Red Chair in Wilton Center.

Families with young children are invited to stop by the Children’s section of the Wilton Library to decorate pre-laminated valentine hearts. They can then take the short walk down to the Big Red Chair at the Chess Park/Schenck’s Island to hang their hearts. Valentine hearts will be available at the library until Wednesday, Feb. 14 and children must be accompanied by an adult.  Others can make a heart at home, which can be laminated at the Library’s Innovation Station.

“Together we can share our love of all things Wilton,” says first selectwoman Lynne Vanderslice and Library director Elaine Tai-Lauria.
