UPDATE: Tuesday, Feb. 2, 12 p.m.–Wilton digs out from approximately 16 inches of snow.
Heavy snow blanketed Wilton Monday with total snow accumulation across the town ranging from 12-16 inches by Tuesday morning, Feb. 2.
Town crews responded to the steady snowfall through less-than-ideal conditions of slick roads and near-whiteout situations. And Wilton continues to dig out today.
Forecast
Today: Rain and snow showers likely, becoming all snow after 1 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 36 degrees. Wind chill values between 20-25 degrees. North wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half-inch possible.
Tuesday night: A 40% chance of snow showers, mainly before 1 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 25 degrees. Wind chill values between 15-20 degrees. North wind 10-13 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
Wednesday: A 20% chance of snow showers before 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34 degrees. Wind chill values between 15-25 degrees. North wind 10-13 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23 degrees. Wind chill values between 15-20 degrees. Northwest wind 9 to 11 mph.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 38 degrees. Northwest wind 7-
10 mph.
Town of Wilton
As a result of the storm, the following changes are in place for Tuesday, February 2:
- Town administrative services will remain remote only, with no drop-box services. Email or call the department for service.
- The Transfer Station will remain closed Tuesday. The Transfer Station will reopen on Thursday, Feb. 4, and because of closures, will also be open Friday, Feb. 5 from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 6 from 9 a.m.-noon.
Wilton Public Schools
Wilton Public Schools will be holding a remote school day on Tuesday, Feb. 2 for all students and staff. The buildings and campuses will be closed to allow for safe clean-up from the storm.

Wilton Library
Wilton Library and its drive-thru window will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 2, due to the snowstorm and dangerous travel conditions. Patrons can access the digital library resources 24/7 online.

Wilton Family YMCA
Wilton Family YMCA: Due to the snow and inclement weather the Wilton YMCA will remain closed at least through 12 noon on Tuesday, Feb. 2. Check the website Tuesday morning, as YMCA officials will continue to assess the situation.
UPDATE 10:25 A.M.–The YMCA will open at 2 p.m. today. Check the MotionVibe Website/App. for all reservation times available for all areas of the Y including the Fitness Center and Aquatic Areas.
