Monday, Jan 30, 8PM–The chance for snow is finally back in the forecast, and it definitely has the potential to cause an early dismissal for Wilton Schools Tuesday, Jan. 31 afternoon.

The morning will be cold and mostly cloudy, but then the light snow will begin to move in around noon. Initially, roads should be fine because of how light the snow will be, but then that snow may get a bit heavier during the mid-afternoon and evening. Roads–especially secondary ones–may turn white.

Tuesday School Predictions

Based on the timing of the snow and temperatures likely to be at or below freezing, I am giving a moderate chance for an early dismissal Tuesday afternoon and a low chance for a cancellation. Because the snow will begin in the afternoon, there will not be a delay on Tuesday morning.

Wednesday School Predictions

The snow will continue during the first half of Tuesday night, ending around midnight. I think roads should be fine by the Wednesday morning commute, but a delay can’t be ruled out–in fact, I’m giving it a 25% chance for a delay on Wednesday morning.
