Wherever you are on your journey, we hope you’ll join us for Christmas at St. Matthew’s where there will be connection, hope, and meaning for all to find. There is room for you, no matter how you’re entering into this season.
First, join us on Saturday, Dec. 14 for a Christmas Carol Community Sing-a-long at 11 a.m. We’ll sing some favorites for a little less than an hour and then gather for hot chocolate and cookies. All are welcome, especially “kids from one to 92”. Bring your families, friends, and littles and let’s get into the spirit together!
Our Annual Christmas Pageant will be held the following morning on Sunday, Dec. 15 at our 10 a.m. worship. Come and experience the joy of this story, as told by our youngest members. Then stay afterward for a festive gathering with food and some special nativity animal visitors (lots of farm animals in our shared courtyard with Wilton Presbyterian).
On Thursday, Dec. 19, we invite anyone who may be struggling this season to join us for “Christmas Worship for the Weary”. This is a thoughtful, intentional space created especially for those who may find it hard to connect to the comfort and joy of this season. If you, or someone you know, is struggling or grieving, this worship service may offer a window of release to you. You are welcome.
And finally, please join us on Christmas Eve for one (or both!) of our two beautiful, festive, joyful services. The family service will be at 4 p.m. and the more traditional, candlelight service will begin at 9 p.m. Come a half hour early to both services to experience an exquisite musical prelude (3:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.).
St. Matthew’s is a community where all people are welcome. It’s a place of authentic connection, meaningful relationships, ringing laughter, and deep love. No matter who you are or where you’ve come from, no matter who you love, or what difference you might think divides us: you are welcome, here. Come and join us in these next few weeks as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, as we hope for the future, and as we give thanks for the gifts of the life we share together. More information about these and other events can be found on our website.
