The Wilton Police Department is investigating multiple motor vehicle burglaries that occurred overnight between Monday, July 9 and Tuesday, July 10 in north Wilton. Cash, personal items, and a handgun were stolen from vehicles on Ridgefield Rd., Mountain Rd., Millstone Rd., and Hickory Hill Rd..
The department is also investigating a 2015 Porsche Cayenne stolen from a driveway on St. Johns Rd. which police had not recovered as of press time.
According to police spokesman Lt. Robert Kluk, thieves are targeting unlocked vehicles, and stealing vehicles with keys left inside. Officials are reminding residents to lock vehicles and remove any items of value even from vehicles parked private residences.
