Wilton Police are really good at pulling over speeders and handing over tickets to drivers. Now residents have the chance to hand something over to Wilton officers in one of their own cars. They’ll be able to do so this Sunday, Dec. 6 when the Wilton Police and Fire Departments will be hosting a “Stuff a Cruiser” Toys for Tots toy donation drive.

Wilton police officers and firefighters will have a police cruiser and a fire truck parked outside the Toy Chest in Stop & Shop Plaza (5 River Rd.) in Wilton Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Shoppers will have the chance to enjoy a 10-percent discount at the Toy Chest if purchasing items to donate.

Kids will be able to tour the fire truck while parents shop, and there will also be free hot chocolate, hot apple cider and more during the event.

Wilton responders have a long relationship supporting the Toys for Tots program, the charitable endeavor of the United States Marine Corps Reserve. The program makes it possible for children from low income families to receive new toys during the holiday season.
