After what seemed like two straight weeks of gloomy grey and mostly rainy weather, the sun came out for the Wilton Chamber of Commerce and the annual Winter Carnival. Along with the weather came the crowds to Wilton Center’s Town Green to partake in fun activities, enjoy entertainment, visit booths hosted by local businesses and civic organizations, and sample some yummy treats, as well as stop in to patronize Wilton Center’s businesses and restaurants.

Back again were the whimsical horse-drawn wagon ride around the Town Center and a live ice sculpting demonstration by the Gazebo (along with an ice sculpture scavenger hunt throughout town.) There was a magic show, a character meet-and-greet (everyone’s favorite snowman was on hand) and carnival performers, plus so many fun, family-friendly ctivities, include face painting, sand art, and crafts.

For bites, there were Bubble and BrewCousins Maine Lobster. and fireside s’mores at the Schenck’s Island thanks to the Rotary Club of Wilton.
