The 7th Annual “Taste of Wilton,” presented by the Wilton Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Fairfield County Bank, will be held on Monday, June 9, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in Wilton Center around the Town Gazebo.
About 20 food and beverage purveyors are expected to participate, offering a wide variety of samples of their specialties throughout the evening. Participants who have already reserved are Marly’s Bistro, Luca Ristorante, Cactus Rose, Bianco Rosso, Portofino, Village Market, Little Pub, Stop and Shop, Fleur de Lis Academy, Sweet Sabrina’s Bakery, Wilton Pizza, and Bistro 7. The list will continue to grow between now and the event date, as more participants firm up their plans with the town.
As sponsor of the event, Fairfield County Bank vice president Carol Johnson said, “We are very proud to be supporting this year’s Taste of Wilton, a premier occasion that brings together more than 300 attendees to sip, swirl and savor the best that local chefs, culinary personalities, farmers, mixologists, sommeliers, and restaurateurs have to offer. With the location this year being in the heart of Wilton Center around the Gazebo, the Taste will draw an even larger audience of gourmands and families seeking to sample delectable local cuisine. It is the quintessential venue for restaurants and caterers to present their products to discerning customers and make connections for future business.”
Tickets to “The Taste of Wilton” will be available at the Wilton Family Y, Fairfield County Bank, and the Chamber office for $30 advanced sale. Cost at the door is $35.
The “Taste of Wilton” is open to all local restaurants and caterers, as well as those offering specialty food products such as sauces, spices, jams and condiments. Space is limited and will be reserved on a first come first served basis.
