The following is a press release from the Town of Wilton.
When the second weekend of this year’s Wilton Summer Concert Series opens this Sunday, July 18, at 5 p.m., headline band The Treeshakers will take the audience at Schenck’s Island in Wilton Center from a whisper to a roar and back again, playing soulful and popular cover tunes spanning genres for all ages.
This Roots-Rock Americana band has been entertaining crowds since 2017. Wilton resident Donna Savage is the frontwoman for the band, along with other Wilton residents James Konatsotis, on guitar and vocals; Jack Jackson, guitar and vocals, and Lorenzo Diurno, bass and vocals; as well as Wilton Parks and Recreation’s own Mike Pirre from Bethel on drums and vocals; and Fairfield’s Ted Eyes on keyboard. They are not to be missed.
Last week’s crowd included many long-time Wilton residents and also new-to-town residents who all came out to enjoy this great summer tradition.
Come enjoy some great music by local talent! Attendance is free. Bring a blanket and chairs. Parking isn’t available at Schenck’s. Instead, park in the Center and arrive early to grab take-out from Wilton’s nearby restaurants. Additional seating is available across the river at the Chess Park. In case of inclement weather, call 203.454.5188.
