The Week at a Glance (April 11-17) Cooler than average temperatures to start out spring break will lead to above average temperatures by the end of the week. Over the course of the next week, only about one significant storm system is expected to impact the area, making for a mostly dry and cool Spring Break.

Monday, April 11:  A high temperature around 55 will be accompanied by a few rain showers associated with a much larger system that will bring precipitation from Canada to The Gulf.

Tuesday, April 12:  Rain and a high temperature in the lower 50’s will make for a soggy spring day.

Wednesday, April 13:  Showers tapering off by the early morning hours will be accompanied by temperatures in the lower 50’s.

Thursday, April 14:  Clear skies and warmer temperatures nearing 60 may be able to bring some spring foliage that had frozen back to life.

Friday, April 15:  Once again, clear skies will be associated with slightly higher temperatures nearing 60 degrees.

Saturday, April 16:  Highs in the lower 60’s and even more clear skies will make for a mostly normal spring day.

Sunday, April 17:  As temperatures continue to warm into the upper 60’s, expect even more trees and plants to bud, and the return of more snowbirds.
