Bob Russell–author, historian and former first selectman of Wilton–is giving a tour of the Wilton Center Historic District that’s been lovingly dubbed, “The Steeple & People of 18th Century Wilton,” this Saturday, June 13 at 1 p.m..
Members of the public are invited to join for free tour of the Wilton Center Historic District, a local, state and national historic site comprised of the 225 year old Wilton Congregational Church, Old Town Hall, Comstock House and Barns and other homes in the vicinity. An interior tour of the church steeple will also be offered.
The event is free and open to the public and refreshments will be available, but reservations are required. To reserve a spot, email the church office or call 203.762.5591. If the 1 p.m. session fills, another tour will be offered at 3 p.m..
Parking is available in the main lot (west of the sanctuary) at the Wilton Congregational Church, 70 Ridgefield Rd. and the tour starts in the church’s Pilgrim Hall. Historic photos and building models will be on display.
