The Wilton Planning and Zoning Commission is looking for Wilton residents to serve on its Village District Design Advisory Committee (VDDAC).
The VDDAC reviews and advises the P&Z Commission on the architecture and design of applications affecting properties in Wilton’s village districts, which include Wilton Center and Cannondale Crossing. At least one member of VDDAC must be an architect, landscape architect or planner who is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, so some planning and design background may be preferred, but is not necessarily required for all members.
Interested applicants should email a resume and a statement of background and interest to serve to Town Planner Bob Nerney via email (203.563.0185), who can also answer questions regarding the VDDAC. Applications will be accepted until noon on Friday, July 13, 2018.
The Commission anticipates conducting interviews with applicants in person or by phone at its 7 p.m. meeting on Thursday, July 19, 2018, with specific scheduling to be determined. Applicants should be prepared to discuss the Wilton Center and Cannondale Crossing villages and relevant regulations, including 29-6.C, 29-6.F, 29-9.J and Appendix C of the Wilton Zoning Regulations and Section 8-2j of the Connecticut General Statutes.
The Commission thanks all applicants for their interest and willingness to serve our Town.
