The following is a press release from Trackside Teen Center.
As the busy holiday season approaches, Trackside Teen Center and the S4 Study Skills program are looking ahead to midterms. In December, high school students will have the opportunity to participate in the Study Skills program at Trackside Teen Center to learn how to properly prepare for exams and earn higher grades.
The evidence-based S4 program is taught by experienced teachers who provide students with the methodologies and systems to be applied to student’s course materials. Each interactive class is limited to 15 students to ensure that each individual receives the attention and help that they need. Students learn key study strategies to retain information, prepare for exams, utilize executive functioning strategies, and improve academic performance.
“We are excited to offer this workshop just in time for high school students to set themselves up for midterm success. Implementing even a single new skill has been shown to boost students’ motivation and academic performance,” said Michelle Sagalyn, president of S4.
Workshops will be hosted at Trackside Teen Center, at 15 Station Rd., on Sundays, Dec. 6, 13, and 20 from 3–5:30 p.m.. The 7.5-hour workshop costs $395 and includes all materials for at-home support. Register online. For more information email S4 or call 203.418.2003.
