It’s time to head back to school and Trackside Teen Center has created a full schedule of programs to give teens in Wilton a great start to the new school year! The Teen Center provides a wide range of activities and events for students in a safe, healthy, and fun environment. Hang out, join a club, take a class, or attend one of their special Friday night events this fall.
Drop-In Hours: During drop-in hours, students are invited to spend time at Trackside playing games, watching movies, grabbing a snack at the Snackside Café, or using the quiet conference room for homework and studying. Drop-in hours are 3-6 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays and 3-7 p.m. on Fridays.
Classes and Workshops: Registration is now open for new classes and workshops which are available to all students in grades 6-12.
- Learn a creative baking skill every week with a professional chef in Trackside’s fully-equipped kitchen at the Desserts Basics Class on Wednesdays, Sept. 16-Oct. 21, 3:30-5:30 p.m., class fee $300.
- Learn the basics of knitting as and begin a project in Trackside’s new Knitting Class on Wednesdays, Sept. 16-October 21, 5-6 p.m., class fee $130.
- Learn to perform the roles from favorite musicals with an award-winning instructor during Trackside’s Musical Theater Class on Thursdays, Sept. 17-Nov. 12, 4-5 p.m., class fee $125.
- Learn the techniques used by professional actors to rehearse and perform monologues and scenes with Trackside’s Acting Class on Mondays, Sept. 21-Nov. 16, 5-6 p.m., class fee $90.
Clubs: Join one of Trackside’s clubs to help the wider Wilton community, share your talents, and make new friends as you pursue your own interests. Crafts for Shelter Pets, Broadway Club, Gamer Club, and Film Club are all free to join and meet once a week at Trackside.
Tutoring and Study Skills: For students looking to succeed in school, Trackside will be hosting the S4 Study Skills workshop series this fall. Learn practical skills and tools to study, organize, manage time, prepare for tests and use executive functioning strategies.
- S4 Workshops for middle school students will be held on Thursdays, Oct. 8-Nov. 5, 3:30-5 p.m..
- High school workshops will meet on Sundays, Oct. 18–Nov. 1, 3-5:30 p.m..
- The S4 High School and Beyond Workshop is open to students in grades 8-12 and will meet on Sundays, Nov. 8-22, 3-5:30 p.m..
