The Turnover Shop recently donated $10,000 to each of the PTAs at Miller-Driscoll, Cider Mill, Middlebrook, and Wilton High Schools. As a long-standing supporter of the schools, the shop has regularly donated funds to support student enrichment programs.
“We are hugely appreciative of the donation the Turnover Shop makes to us in our efforts to provide curriculum enrichment opportunities at each of the schools,” said Savet Constantine, president of the Middlebrook PTA.
Sales of clothing, furniture, household goods, shoes and books donated to The Turnover Shop primarily benefit the Wilton PTAs and Visiting Nurse Services. In addition, the Turnover Shop accepts consignments designated for other non-profit organizations such as Class Projects, the WHS Band, the WHS Theater Department, various sports teams and many other groups.
The store is also always in need of volunteers; for anyone looking for a volunteer opportunity, contact Maureen Bare by email. Commitments as infrequently as even once a month are available. Located to the lower left of the Village Market at 98 Old Ridgefield Rd., the Turnover Shop accepts donations when open, Monday thru Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-1 p.m..
