Two important meetings take place this week, and for anyone who’s said, “That’s one thing in Wilton I wish I could change,” now is most definitely your chance. But all you have to do is show up.

Miller-Driscoll Public Meeting

First up, the Miller-Driscoll Building Committee will hold a public meeting for parents, neighbors and members of the public on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. in the Miller-Driscoll gym (217 Wolfpit Rd.).

Representatives of Turner Construction Company, Tai Soo Kim, the Miller-Driscoll administration and the building committee will be present. The purpose of the meeting is to provide information about the construction phase of the project which is scheduled to begin in December, to answer questions and to address any concerns.

Economic Development Commission

The Wilton Economic Development Commission (EDC) is hoping to engage town residents in the conversation about where the town is headed. They’re holding an open public forum on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Brubeck Room at the Wilton Library.

As part of the event, the commission is seeking input from residents, ahead of time. The EDC is asking residents to submit their ideas for things they’d like to see the town consider as part of an overall economic development plan.

They’re also hoping for as much participation by town residents as possible. For more information, read our previous article or visit the EDC website.
