In the spirit of giving last week, Fresh Green Light, a new driving school in Wilton, operating out of the Comstock Community Center, and Peachwave Frozen Yogurt both donated funds to support Wilton’s student–run SafeRides program.

SafeRides is an all-volunteer, student-run program, operated out of Trackside Teen Center, which provides safe rides home to fellow students on Friday and Saturday nights between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m..

Steve Mochel, president and chief development officer of Fresh Green Light, presented Maddie Gillespie, co-president of Wilton SafeRides with a donation of $1,000 (photo above), and Barbara Rawlings, manager of Peachwave Wilton, gave Gillespie a donation of $400 (photo below).
