Two Wilton churches will be presenting their annual Advent Concerts on Sunday, Dec. 13.

The Wilton Presbyterian Church will have an Advent Music Sunday at 10 a.m. featuring the choirs — Sanctuary and Handbells. The Sanctuary Choir of about 35 members will be supported by brass, organ, and other instruments.

According to Al Galletly, the church’s musical director, there are lessons and prayers scattered throughout the hour-long service, but most of the hour of worship is pure and simple lovely choral singing, bell ringing and Christmas Carols with the congregation joining in.

Galletly says it is an opportunity for people to listen to the Christmas story told through the gift of music. In addition, guests are invited to sing the Hallelujah Chorus with the choir. Copies of the music will be handed out.

The Presbyterian Church is at 48 New Canaan Rd..

Also on Sunday, Our Lady of Fatima Festival Choir will be presenting their annual Advent Concert:  A Noel Celebration. This lovely cantata is in the style of Lessons and Carols and features short monologues of the accounts of the characters who were present at the birth of Christ.

This hour-long, family-friendly concert will take place at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Villa de Notre Dame at 345 Belden Hill Rd.Mary Bozzuti Higgins directs the choir, accompanied by Clay Zambo. All are welcome, no fee.
