Calling all women for a morning of self-love and empowerment!
On Wednesday, Feb. 21, Lori Fields, LCSW, and Melly Bonita, entrepreneur, will lead “A Life you Love,” a candid conversation for women on the concept of doing it all versus doing what matters most.
Topics will include managing guilt, how to have an easier time making decisions, and the driving force behind having your life look and feel the way you want.
“The idea for this chat was born out of many hour-long conversations that Lori and I have had about the pressures we put on ourselves as women and the many different hats we wear, all while trying to stay true to what we really love and want out of life,” Bonita says. “We’ve shared so much valuable information with each other, we felt strongly that this was a conversation that needed to include more women so that we can learn how to feel less guilty about our choices and get to the heart of what’s blocking us from feeling more fulfilled and at peace with how we’re managing our lives.”
Fields says the discussion is one of conscious choice. “We really want to shift the conversation from trying to ‘balance it all’, to becoming mindful of what matters most. For many, this may be the first time they look at their life in this way in and it’s incredibly empowering when you get honest with yourself about the place you’re making your choices from and how you’re truly feeling about those choices. Creating a life we love has less to do with pressuring ourselves to be more disciplined, productive or motivated and more to do with allowing ourselves to enjoy the choices we’re making in our everyday life.”
The event will be held at the Wilton Congregational Church on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 10:30 a.m.. Attending is free but RSVP-ing in advance is highly encouraged as space is limited.
