The Wilton Board of Assessment Appeals will begin meeting in April 2020 to hear assessment appeals relating to real and personal property on the October 1, 2019 Grand List. Town Hall officials have posted a legal notice online specifying the timeline and deadlines for appeal applications.
Property owners must file an application to the Board of Assessment Appeals on or before Friday, March 20, 2020 to be scheduled for a hearing date. Applications must be received by the Assessor Office no later than 4:30 p.m. on March 20, 2020. Pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes, the Board of Assessment Appeals cannot hear appeals for applications received after March 20, 2020. Applications are available in the Assessor’s Office or online on the Assessor’s Office page on the town website.
