While GOOD Morning Wilton is sad to say farewell to real estate contributor Lisa Bender, we’re thrilled that her new collaboration with a powerhouse real estate team, The FAIR Group, means we get to say, ‘Welcome!’ to three new contributors–Sarah Fair, Linda Sweeny and Kara Williams. The three are realtors with William Raveis.

Of their new working relationship, the trio says, “The FAIR Group and Lisa Bender are collaborating to expand our overall real estate services to cover a broader geographic area with our intent to provide our clients with superior customer service. The FAIR Group and Lisa Bender are passionate about their clients’ success and becoming true partners in achieving their real estate goals. Whether helping our clients to sell their properties or finding them the properties of their dreams, we are attentive to detail, market conditions and negotiation strategies. Together we are the difference.” The FAIR Group can be contacted via email

‘Tis the Season…

At this time of year, everyone is busy creating lists and hustling to check the final to-dos. It is also the Season of Giving! While we prepare our homes for the holidays, we can also take this time to prepare our homes for spring, especially if listing your home is on the 2019 horizon. As you bring up boxes and bins of decorations, pare through your belongings in both the attic and the basement for items that you are no longer using or in need of. There are many families and organizations that not only want items at this time, but more importantly, need items–everything from gently used, blankets, bedding, and clothing to decorations, toys and books. You are not only helping those who are in need, but also helping your own cause in prepping your home for a potential sale.

As realtors, the question most often asked of us is, “How can we best prepare our home to list?” The FAIR Group cannot stress enough to all of our clients that a home that is decluttered, well maintained and “staged” is a home that buyers will appreciate and can envision themselves purchasing. “Staging” does not necessarily mean spending top dollar with a professional stager, but taking the time and making the effort to clean out, clean up and touch up–something The FAIR Group refers to as “sweat equity.” This can make the difference between a buyer choosing your home over another.

As we take a few moments to be grateful, also take some time to help others in donating to local and national charities that will help disperse your generosity to those most in need. Trim your homes with holiday decor and trim your storage and clutter at the same time. Start the New Year lighter and brighter!

Wishing everyone PEACE in your homes now and throughout the New Year!
