This Sunday, Oct 5, The Wilton Go Green/Wilton Library Association Green Speaker Series presents Liz Walker, author of Choosing a Sustainable Future and co-founder of EcoVillage in Ithaca, NY. The presentation will take place at 4-5:30 p.m. at the Wilton Library.
Over the last two decades, EcoVillage at Ithaca has grown from a compelling vision to the reality of a bustling village of 100 households which share a strong sense of community, three organic farms, green buildings and extensive solar displays. Students, researchers and the public come to visit from all over the world. Liz will discuss the work that EcoVillage does in creating a more environmentally friendly lifestyle, how and why it was created, and how it serves as a resource and educational center for people near and far. She will also share sustainability success stories as described in her book.
Co-sponsored by Wilton Congregational Church, Wilton Go Green and Wilton Library. There is no charge but attendees are encouraged to register in advance. For more information, call 203.762.3950, ext. 213.
