The Spanish Honor Society of Wilton High School will be collecting bicycles for the charity Pedals for Progress, an organization that recycles bikes and donates them in developing countries. According to the P4P website, the donated bicycles are, “put to work not only as basic transportation, but are used as a supplement to school and community programs. The bikes are adapted for useas trash haulers, produce trucks, taxis, and farm machinery. Some of the municipalities even sponsor recreational cycling programs, making bikes available to all who care to participate.”
The collection will be held on Saturday, April 5 in the Senior Parking Lot of the high school (by Lilly Field) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information visit the Pedals for Progress website.
