Tauck, the Wilton-based upscale tour and cruise company, has once again been honored in the Healthy Workplace Employer Recognition Program operated by the Business Council of Fairfield County. For the 10th straight year, Tauck’s Healthy Living employee initiative has received the Business Council’s Platinum Award, the highest category in the program.

Among a host of other initiatives, Tauck offers its employees comprehensive and affordable health insurance, annual on-site health fairs, complimentary healthy snacks and beverages, an on-site fitness center, financial incentives for participation in wellness programs, free health and wellness counseling, and numerous other company-supported efforts.

“We’re incredibly proud to be celebrating our 95th anniversary this year, and we attribute much of our success to being a family-owned and operated company,” said Sharyn Cannon, Tauck’s chief culture officer. “Our employees are an integral part of our Tauck family, and the Healthy Living program is just one of the ways we care for and support each other. We’re thrilled to have those efforts recognized once again by the Business Council.”

Launched in 1925 by Arthur Tauck Sr., Tauck today operates more than 150 land and cruise itineraries in 70-plus countries and all seven continents. The company has been named to Travel + Leisure magazine’s prestigious “World’s Best List” in each of the past 22 years.

Tauck and the other award winners were honored last week during the Business Council’s Health, Wellbeing and Safety Roundtable at the Stamford Hilton Hotel. The Business Council of Fairfield County is a regional network of business leaders, committed to strengthening the economic vitality of the region through research-based public policy initiatives, information services and network building programs.
