Just when Wilton seems to be settling into its slow summer rhythm, Wilton Center is about to get a jolt of energy as the 13th Annual Street Fair and Sidewalk Sales take place on Saturday, July 19, from 10 a.m-3 p.m.

The summertime tradition — hosted by the Wilton Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by ASML, KIMCO Realty, Caraluzzi’s Georgetown Market, Stamford Health and the Rotary Club of Wilton — transforms the town center into a lively hub of food, shopping and activities with plenty of Wilton pride.

“The Wilton Street Fair is more than just an event — it’s a celebration of our community spirit,” Chamber Executive Director Camille Carriero told GMW. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for residents to support our local businesses, enjoy a day filled with fun activities, and reconnect with neighbors in a lively and welcoming atmosphere.”

The Chamber’s objective for the event is simple: bolster foot traffic at the retail stores, restaurants and other businesses in Wilton Center. The event also provides a showcase for home-based businesses, artisans and local nonprofits.

“By hosting the Street Fair, we aim to create an engaging environment that encourages community interaction and highlights the diverse range of services and products available right here in our town,” Carriero said.

In addition to an expanded roster of vendors and several new food trucks participating this year, the street fair will feature a new local band performing to enhance the lively atmosphere.

Carriero also reported there will be interactive activities for all ages, animal encounters from Rising Starr Horse Rescue and Woodcock Nature Center, and a touch-a-truck experience with the Wilton Fire and Police departments and the Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps (WVAC).

The Chamber has also collaborated with the Wilton Library to provide a larger space for the Library’s annual summer book sale.
