The Wilton Chamber of Commerce has set the times for this year’s Holiday Stroll and Santa’s Visit to the Wilton Center. The annual event will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, from 5:30-7:30 p.m..
Join Santa Claus and Wilton’s first selectman Bill Brennan as the Wilton Chamber kicks off the official start of the holiday season with the annual lighting of the town tree. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., Santa and Brennan will make their way into the Wilton Center on a red sleigh, ushered by the Wilton Fire Department. Once they light the tree, they’ll kick off the Holiday Stroll.
Afterward, residents are invited to visit the many merchants around our town as they open their doors for holiday cheer, special treats and shopping! Organizers note that The Holiday Stroll is a rain or shine event.
Following the tree lighting, Santa will greet his fans at the gazebo, where children of all ages will have the chance to share their holiday wishes with Santa, who will have a special treat for each child. (If there’s bad weather, Santa will make his way to the Wilton Library Association after the tree lighting, and remain there until 7:30 p.m.). The Wilton High School Band will provide the soundtrack of the night, showcasing their talent and holiday spirit.
