Get ready for a full fall schedule for the Wilton Chamber of Commerce, all packed into a great October, with lots of very fun activities planned for businesses and residents alike.
Wilton’s Scarecrows Parade, Oct. 14-31
Once again, Wilton’s scarecrows will hang from lampposts in Wilton Center. They’ll begin appearing on Friday, Oct. 14, and they’ll be hanging around until Halloween, Oct. 31. (*Bonus: Make sure you look for GOOD Morning Wilton‘s scarecrow for the chance to enter our Halloween Scarecrow contest. Details are coming soon!)
The deadline for businesses, organizations, families and individuals to enter a scarecrow is, Friday, Sept. 30. For more information, contact Debra Hanson, the Chamber executive director, via email. The cost to pick up a scarecrow kit is $30, and kits will be available starting Oct. 3 through Oct. 7.
Restaurant Week, Oct. 17-23
The Wilton Chamber is inviting all Wilton and Georgetown food service establishments to participate and feature special culinary selections and/or pricing during the week. Stay tuned for the list of all restaurants taking part.
Halloween Parade and Trick or Treating in Wilton Center
Residents are invited to join the Chamber members to celebrate Halloween on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 12-2 p.m. at the annual Pumpkin Parade and Wilton Center Trick or Treating. Wear your scariest (or most entertaining) costumes and come start by gathering with friends and fellow residents at the Town Green Gazebo. Then visit Wilton Center retailers and businesses for candy, treats and more.

Halloween Hustle 5K
This year’s Halloween Hustle 5K will be held Sunday, Oct. 30 from 9 a.m.-noon, . Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the race start is at 10 a.m.. This event is also sponsored by Bankwell.
Advance registration for racers running in the 5K is $25/person; children running in the 1K are $10/each. To register in advance, visit the Wilton Chamber website.
