The Wilton Chamber of Commerce has announced it will be holding its Wilton Winter Carnival after a one-year pandemic pause. The event, sponsored by Fairfield County Bank, will be held on Sunday, Feb. 6, from 12-4 p.m.
Supporting sponsors include ONS Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery Specialists, Village Market, Riverbrook Regional YMCA, Wilton Library Association, and Gregory and Adams, with special participation by the Wilton Rotary Club.
The Chamber invites residents to bring the whole family down and join in as organizers transform the Wilton Town Green into a fun and activity-packed winter wonderland! Start off the event with a whimsical horse drawn wagon ride around Wilton Center; watch a live ice sculpting demonstration at the Town Green; and join in the scavenger hunt of beautiful ice sculptures and a chance to win a gift basket filled with local Wilton merchandise valued at $200!
Then, travel down Old Ridgefield Rd. for a campfire with marshmallows (children must be accompanied by an adult) by the Wilton Rotary Club; join in the character meet-and-greet for photo ops; enjoy the kids’ activities, crafts, sand art, face painting, and professional magic show at the Gazebo; and savor yummy tastes from food trucks and Wilton’s very own Bubble and Brew.
Stroll through town and enjoy a variety of dining options from Wilton’s award-winning restaurants, shop at the great local stores in town, and make sure to visit the Wilton Library that afternoon! (More details to follow for library activities.)
The event is rain, snow, or shine, so bundle up and come outside and enjoy! For information on how to participate at the event as a vendor or sponsor, contact Camille Carriero at 203.762.0567 or via email.
