The season is underway for the 2015 Wilton Warrior Varsity Competition and Junior Competition Cheer Squads. The Junior Squad is comprised of 6th, 7th and 8th grade cheerleaders from the Wilton Youth Football Cheer Program.

The Junior squad kicked off the season with two third-place finishes in their division at the Wildcat Open in Seymour, CT on Jan. 17 and at the CT Cheerleading Classic Wolcott, CT on Jan. 24.

The WYF youth competition cheerleaders will be exhibiting at the FCAIC High School Varsity Cheer Competition on Saturday, Feb. 7 (snow date Sunday, Feb. 8), and the Varsity Competition Squad will be competing. The Warrior Cheerleaders are inviting the Wilton community to come and support them and see the dynamic sport of what competitive cheerleading is all about. Spectators will be able to see not only what Wilton’s cheerleaders can do, but will also see some of the best varsity cheerleading squads in our area, as they compete for their title as the FCAIC winner.

Doors open for spectators at 11 a.m. and the competition starts at noon. The spectator fee is $8 for adults, $5 for kids (concessions are available on site). The exhibition performance begins around 2 p.m.. The competition takes place at Fairfield Warde High School, 75 Melville Ave. in Fairfield.
