Wilton Children’s Theater will be launching three new virtual programs to provide Wilton kids with a creative outlet this fall–one that organizers say requires as little parent involvement as possible.
Registration for the three programs is open to the public via the Wilton Children’s Theater website and spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The three programs are:
WCT-TV: This brand-new program will use a variety show format as a platform to allow WCT kids to showcase their many talents. It will be run by Skip Ploss, who also runs the popular MDTV program at Miller-Driscoll School, and will feature acts from participants such as stand-up comedy, Broadway show tunes, popular Tik Tok dances, “Stupid human tricks,” and so much more.
Musical Theater Workshop: During this three-week program, students will meet virtually once a week with Caitlin Witty, whose teaching credits include: Wiremill Academy, Wilton Children’s Theater, and Berkshire Music School. Students will learn about musical theater performance and receive both large and small group vocal instruction. The workshop will culminate in a recorded virtual choir performance.
Wednesday Night Theater Games: If you love playing theater games with your friends and learning improv skills, then our mid-week theater games night is for you! Although the initial sign up is for three weeks, it is anticipated to be a rolling program. It will be led by Caitlin Witty and assisted by WCT high school interns.
