The following was compiled from a press release from the Wilton Public Schools.

The Wilton Board of Education has invited families, staff and community members to participate in a conversation about family engagement and budget priorities. This “Community Conversation: Parent Engagement and Budget Discussion” will take place Thursday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. in the Zellner Gallery at the Clune Center (395 Danbury Rd.).

This event aims to gather diverse perspectives from families and the broader Wilton community to inform strategic planning for the upcoming school year, focusing on enhancing family engagement and optimizing resource allocation to strengthen community partnership in both the near and long term.

In the press release from the Board of Education, officials stated: “We truly believe that when our schools and community work together, our students thrive and our education system gets even better. This is your chance to share what’s important to you and help shape the future of our schools.”

Participants will engage in a “station rotation” protocol where randomized small groups will visit each station and respond to a prompted question, followed by a gallery walk where participants can view the entire collection of written responses.

The BOE invites all community members — parents, guardians, community members, teachers and anyone interested — to attend this important discussion.

“Your voice matters, and your participation will directly help our students succeed and make our schools even better,” officials said.
