Wilton Congregational Church will be holding several events this week in commemoration of Holy Week, leading up to Easter Sunday.

Thursday, April 2, 6:30 p.m. – Passover Seder

The Wilton Congregational Church is holding an interpretation of the traditional Passover Seder acknowledging the significant relationship between the Seder and the Christian Sacrament of Communion. Our purpose is not to impose Christian imagery upon this annual Jewish feast, but rather to celebrate the Jewish origin and ties of our faith and tradition, and recognize that the message of Passover–which is one of liberation from oppression–is a lesson from which all faith traditions may learn.

Please call the church office to reserve a place at this feast.

Friday, April 3, 5-7 p.m. – A Walk Through Holy Week

On Good Friday, April 3, the Wilton Congregational Church is bringing back the “A Walk Through Holy Week,” an all-ages-friendly production that tells the story of the events between Palm Sunday and Good Friday. In small groups, a tour guide, the apostle John, will lead groups through the church building to view short vignettes about the events of Holy Week as told through Jesus’ disciples and others who witnessed them.

An open-house style dinner begins at 5 p.m., and the 30-min “Walks” will depart from Pilgrim Hall every 10-15 minutes between 5:30-7:30 p.m..

Saturday, April 4, 11 a.m. – Easter Egg Hunt

All children in Pre-K through 5th grade are invited to a free Easter Egg Hunt at the Wilton Congregational Church. This is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Basket) event, but the hidden eggs are provided by the church, along with free hotdogs, chips and cookies, served after the hunt.

Several churches are joining for this annual Easter service at Hillside Cemetery, 165 Ridgefield Rd..

The Wilton Congregational Church is located at 70 Ridgefield Rd.. The church office phone is 203.762.5591.
