Looking for a church where your kids feel truly celebrated? At Wilton Congregational Church, all children — whether their families are members or just visiting — are invited to be part of a warm, inclusive community. It’s an atmosphere where every child has a place to belong, grow, and have fun on Sunday mornings.
Worship Starts With Families Together
Sunday services start at 9:30 a.m., and families begin together in the sanctuary. Early in the service, kids are invited to the front for a special children’s message — interactive, engaging, and often full of surprises (think entertaining props and big smiles). After that, children can stay with their families in the sanctuary (where fun activity bags are ready!) or head off to Church School for something just for them.
Church School: Faith, Friends & Fun
In Church School, kids explore Bible stories in creative and age-appropriate ways — through hands-on crafts, games, and conversation. Kindergarteners through second graders meet in one classroom, while third through fifth graders gather in another. Each week is a new lesson, and there’s no pressure to come every week. Lessons are led by parent volunteers and other adults from church, using a ready-to-go curriculum that makes Bible stories feel real and relevant to everyday life.
Littlest Ones Welcome Too
Babies and toddlers are welcome! Wilton Congregational’s nurturing nursery is open from 9-11 a.m. for children from birth through pre-K, with caring nursery staff who create a safe, cozy space for little ones — so parents can feel comfortable while in the service. And of course, little ones are always welcome to remain with parents in the worship service if that’s where they feel happiest.
Older Kids Can Lead the Way
Kids in sixth grade and up are always welcome to stay in the service, but many choose to be helpers in Church School classrooms. They make amazing role models and bring a big-sibling energy that younger children love.
Wrap-Up & Community Connection
After worship, parents pick up their kids from their classrooms following the church’s child safety protocols. Then it’s time for Coffee Hour — snacks, conversation, and a chance to connect with other families.
