Wilton Creates New Waitlist for Ages 65-and-Up Seeking First Dose of COVID-19 Vaccine

Wilton residents aged 65 years and up who still require a first dose COVID-19 vaccine may now request to be added to a Town of Wilton waitlist for Wilton Health Department/Visiting Nurse (VNA) COVID-19 vaccine clinics by visiting the Town of Wilton website.

Town officials say being added to the waitlist is not a guarantee of an appointment at any future Wilton Health Department/VNA clinic. Town of Wilton personnel will contact people on the waitlist if there is appointment availability.

Eligible residents are encouraged to register to receive a vaccine through local vaccine providers such as Stamford Health, Yale New Haven Health, and Hartford Health or through the Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS) online system. Local pharmacies such as CVS, Walgreens and Walmart will be offering vaccines at locations across the State. Appointments may not be immediately available. Statewide, clinics are added daily so residents are advised to check for updates frequently.

For more information, visit the Town of Wilton’s Coronavirus Resources webpage. Residents can also visit the State of CT website to perform a zipcode or map search of vaccine providers.

Residents aged 65 and up became eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine on Feb. 11. The group totals over 300,000 statewide.
