The Wilton Democratic Town Committee (DTC) is inviting all Wilton residents to its 2016 Fall Barbecue on Saturday, Sept. 10 from noon-3 p.m. at Merwin Meadows (52 Lovers Ln.).
Although the line-up is not yet set, past speakers have included CT senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy; Wilton’s congressman Jim Himes; Gov. Dan Malloy; Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman; State Attorney General George Jepsen; CT’s secretary of state Denise Merrill; and others.
“Whether you’re into local and presidential politics, or just up for a great time with Wilton friends, come join us,” said DTC chair Deb McFadden. “The barbecue is alway fun and informative.”
Picnic fare, including hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers, as well as soft drinks, will be served.
Early-bird tickets are $40 per adult; $10 for children and students under 18; $100 for a family, and free for children under 6 years. Tickets will also be available at the event for $50 per person ($10 for children and students). To purchase e-tickets visit the DTC website.
