The Wilton Democratic Town Committee (DTC) is inviting Wilton residents to its Annual DTC Fall Barbecue on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 12-3 p.m. at Merwin Meadows (52 Lovers Lane). Expected speakers include Rep. Jim Himes, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman and State Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff.

“We have competitive races for three offices in Wilton this year–Board of Selectmen, Board of Education and Planning and Zoning. It’s more important than ever for Wiltonians to be informed about upcoming elections and to be able to hear our representatives on issues facing our community, state and nation,” says DTC chair Deb McFadden. “Join us for a lively, informative and fun afternoon.”

Picnic fare will include hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, pasta, salads, chips and salsa, brownies and soft drinks.

Ticket are $45 until Thursday, Sept. 6, then $55 after. Student tickets are $10, and children under 6-years-old are free. Tickets are available online and at the door.
