Stamford Health Medical Staff recently elected new officers, choosing Wilton physician Carol Fucigna, MD to represent them as vice president. Fucigna is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and has been practicing for more than 20 years. She joined Stamford Hospital in 2004 and opened an office in Wilton, adding a Darien office a short time later. Dr. Fucigna is vice chair of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and served as the interim chair from June 2014 until December 2016. She received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and completed her residency at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center.

Rudolph Taddonio, MD, the interim chair of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Stamford Health, was elected president of the medical staff.
