This evening, (Wednesday, Oct. 15) the Wilton League of Women Voters (LWV), Wilton Library, and GOOD Morning Wilton will cosponsor a candidate forum at Wilton Library, during which voters can hear from candidates running for positions on the Board of Selectmen and the Board of Finance

GOOD Morning Wilton will livestream the forum here starting at 7 p.m. It will also be streamed live on GOOD Morning Wilton‘s Facebook page and GOOD Morning Wilton‘s YouTube Channel.

The three organizations will host a second candidate forum on Thursday, Oct. 16 featuring candidates running for seats on the Board of Education and the Planning and Zoning Commission

GOOD Morning Wilton will stream those debates live as well, starting at 7 p.m.

The forums will also be video-recorded and available on GMW following the events.

Both events will follow a Cumulative Time Format and will be moderated by a League of Women Voters-certified, out-of-town moderator who will present questions submitted by the public in written form.

The sessions will provide community members an opportunity to hear from the candidates who seek to serve and make critical decisions facing the town in the coming years; and to pose questions to them that will highlight their goals and priorities.

While the deadline to submit questions for the candidates in advance has passed, audience members during the live debates in the Brubeck Room can submit questions from the floor.

There are some important guidelines for submitting questions: all questions must be applicable to all candidates and pertinent to local issues; questions targeted at one specific candidate will not be accepted. All questions will be screened for legibility, duplication, and may be combined or condensed. All audience questions must be submitted in writing.
