Upcoming events in Wilton–whether charity, service or school related–mean lots of volunteers pitching in to make it happen. For some of the events in the next month or so, we celebrate the organizing committees hard at work to make the programs as successful as possible.

Post Graduation Party 2015

COMMITTEE PGP 2015

The 2015 PGP committee is hard at work planning a graduation night that Wilton High School seniors will never forget. Pictured above are 20 dedicated committee members at work on the Memorabilia portion of the evening. Always a class favorite, the seniors will reminisce over photos and other reminders of the last 13-plus years of their lives. In May, hints to the secret theme of the evening will be released. ABC “Open Hearts and Homes” House Tour on May 29

COMMITTEE ABC House Tour

On Friday, May 29, A Better Chance of Wilton hosts its second “Opening Our Hearts and Homes House Tour” to benefit the Wilton ABC program.

GOOD Morning Wilton is pleased to be one of the event’s sponsors.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at Open House, Signature Style, and Wilton Hardware and on the ABC of Wilton website. Tickets for the main house tour are $50 in advance and $60 the day of the tour. Tickets for the tour plus one additional home and garden luncheon are $80 and must be purchased by May 26.

Since 1996, ABC of Wilton has provided housing and education for up to fourteen minority scholars with financial need, to give them “a better chance” in life. In turn, the scholars enrich Wilton’s schools and community by sharing their life experiences and talents. The Wilton ABC program is one of only four programs nationwide that has both a girls’ and boys’ house.

ABC of Wilton is supported almost entirely by fundraising events and donations from the community, and with no administrative costs, 100 percent of all contributions are used to support the scholars.
