Last Wednesday, June 4, the Wilton’s Farmers’ Market returned to Wilton Center for the 2025 summer season. With it brought the promise of GOOD things that members of the community will be able to enjoy on a weekly basis, including today, Wednesday, June 11, on the Town Green.
From fresh produce, bread, baked goods and fish to crafts, home goods, and nonprofit booths, the market provides ample bounty and the chance for connection.
Camille Carriero, the executive director of the Wilton Chamber of Commerce, said the market is something that not only provides a great place for community gathering but also an opportunity to support local businesses and nonprofit organizations and bring people to Wilton.
“The Farmers’ Market, definitely, like any community event that brings people out, it’s an opportunity to get to know your neighbors and know more about the community and the town and all of the businesses here,” Carriero said.
She said occasions that get people out and engaged in the community — like the Wilton Pride Festival and Wilton Historical Society Food Truck Festival did on June 1 — can energize Wilton.
“The more buzz that we can generate here in town, the better for our community,” Carriero said.
